Chloe Garner
After two straight second place finishes at the women’s world long drive championships in 2017 and 2018 many competitors might have lost hope; however, the quiet spoken native of Somerset West in South Africa merely set herself and took her game up a notch to hit a monster 347-yard drive that was enough to beat three-time champion Phillis Meti at the 2019 World Long Drive Championships, which were held at the Winstar Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
An outstanding collegiate golfer who had competed for women’s golf teams at Eastern Tennessee State and Texas A&M, Chloe took a 6th Place finish at the South African Women’s Amateur Championship before taking three years away from golf to pursue her interests in cross-fit training and competitions. More recently, she worked as the Assistant Golf Coach for the Women’s Golf Team at Eastern Tennessee State, while pursuing her Doctoral Program in Global Sports Leadership.
Chloe is back in long drive, stronger and more focused than ever, and the defending champion will continue to be a force to be reckoned with for as long as she competes in this sport.
