In her second ever competition, she went head-to-head in the finals with the number one female long driver in the world. No stranger to the sport of golf, Cassandra’s athletic career began at the age of nine, playing junior golf and traveling around the country to compete. In 2006, she was a member of the Junior Ryder Cup Team. Cassandra and her partner, Tony Finau, excitedly won the final match for Team USA to tie the Europeans. At the age of 18, she turned professional and spent some time on the Symetra Tour.
Cassandra was always interested in Long Drive, as a World Long Drive qualifying competition was held at her home course in Rochester, NY. After her golf career ended, she considered competing in long drive, but due to her petite, athletic build, she knew she would have to put in the work to pursue this dream.
With this winning combination of golf knowledge and talent, and a deeply-rooted affinity for health and wellness, Cassandra started seriously training for Long Drive in 2019. In order to succeed at the highest level, she has surrounded herself with the best in the sport, including her husband and coach, Brett, who also trains 2X World Long Drive Champion, Tim Burke.
Cassandra entered her first Long Drive competition in 2019, and instantly fell in love – the adrenaline surrounding the fast-moving sport only set flame to her fire, and there is certainly no slowing down for this humble, fit, and eager competitor. To date, Cassandra has played in four competitions and has three Top-10 finishes.
Aside from her athletic career, Cassandra is also finishing her Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) license and works in the food and beverage industry. Her interests include photography, healthy cooking, and dogs. She lives in Orlando, Florida with her husband and their Pitbull mix, Dakota.
